Having seen New Orleans' recovery from Hurricane Katrina first hand, Rockets guard Chris Paul emphasized that the long road back after Hurricane Harvey should not be forgotten by those too removed from Houston to see it for themselves.
Paul was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets two months before Katrina hit New Orleans and was traded to the Rockets shortly before Hurricane Harvey, a coincidence he could not overlook.
"I had a seven-year-old girls' and the boy's and girls' club tell me I was bad luck," Paul said. "It's tough. It's tough. I was drafted ... before Katrina hit and was traded here before Harvey.
