Rockets guard Chris Paul missed Friday's game with a bruised left knee, but is expected to be ready to play in the Rockets' season opener Tuesday against the Warriors.
"We're making sure that will happen," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said.
"It's precautionary. He should be fine. We want to make sure he's fine."
Paul missed two games this week, playing in just three preseason games (including the game against the Shanghai Sharks) in the abbreviated preseason schedule.
"I'm not worried about it," D'Antoni said. "It might take him a couple weeks into the season to get going, but so what?
