Cam Whitmore sports a sterling confidence for a player with fewer than 100 NBA minutes on his career ledger. The rookie's belief in himself was quickly evident in the Houston Rockets' latest victory Wednesday night.
Whitmore earned first-quarter minutes for just the second time this season in Houston's 112-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets at Toyota Center. It didn’t take long for him to provide a spark. Whitmore drained a three from the right wing in semi-transition late in the first quarter, and he banged home his next two attempts from beyond the arc.
