The Rockets on Wednesday called up two-way forward William Howard from the G League Vipers, giving him his first time with the Rockets since he signed last month, with the 26-year-old rookie believing his brief time with the Vipers gave him a feel for the Rockets’ style and where he might fit.
In nine games with the Vipers, Howard took 6.1 of his 9.8 shots per game from beyond the 3-point line, making 52 percent of his shots and 37.7 percent of his 3s to average 15 points in 32.8 minutes.
“It really helped me to play with the Vipers,” said Howard, a 6-8 forward.
