Rockets bringing back Donatas Motiejunas

It took five months, 20 games and one offer sheet from the Brooklyn Nets, but Donatas Motiejunas is back with the Rockets, still the only team in his NBA career despite several twists and turns along the way back to their roster.

The Rockets opted Monday to match the Nets' four-year, $37 million offer, a person with knowledge of the decision said, ending Motiejunas' long pursuit of a deal as a restricted free agent and bolstering the Rockets frontcourt depth with a 7-foot forward/center with the versatility to score, pass and defend inside and out. The individual spoke on the condition of anonymity because the decision has not been announced.
