The Rockets moved Tuesday to import reinforcements.
With roster spots to fill and a need for help, the Rockets reached deals to bring in a pair of stars in the China Basketball Association, forward Michael Beasley and guard Andrew Goudelock, two individuals with knowledge of the deals said on the condition of anonymity because the deals have not been announced.
Beasley was the international MVP of the CBA this season. Goudelock was the MVP of the NBA Development League in 2013 when he played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets' D-League affiliate.
Both will sign guaranteed contracts for the balance of this season and will be signed for next season at the team's options, individuals familiar with the deals said.
