Rockets acquire Bruno Caboclo from Grizzlies

The Rockets on Wednesday acquired center/forward Bruno Caboclo from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jordan Bell, who had been acquired in the four-team team to get Robert Covington, a person with knowledge of the deal said.

The Rockets had tried to pick up Caboclo, who had been to camp with them in 2018, throughout the season, nearly completing a deal in December when they waived Gary Clark.

Caboclo, 24, had not cracked the Grizzlies rotation, playing in just 22 games. A first-round pick in 2014 by the Toronto Raptors, the 6-foot-9 forward played for the Rockets G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, last season before being picked up by the Grizzlies.
