Clippers coach Doc Rivers said the games he gets to see his son, Rockets guard Austin Rivers, play are still “special.” He also offered a subtle sample of the sort of trash talk he is known to direct at Austin Rivers.
“It is (special,) but I’m not playing against him. If I played against them, it wouldn’t go well for them, obviously.
“It’s always special whenever you see your son on the floor. It’s always strange when you’re coaching him (as he did for four years.) It’s different. When you’re coaching against him it’s different. You just know you want to win, just like he told me last night.
