Reports: Rockets' Tilman Fertitta falls short in bid to buy Commanders

Multiple outlets reported Thursday that a group led by Josh Harris—who previously helped spearhead efforts to buy the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and NHL's New Jersey Devils—is on the verge of purchasing the NFL franchise, though nothing has been made official yet. Sportico reports Snyder and Harris' group, which includes NBA icon Magic Johnson, have "an agreement in principle" for a $6 million sale. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the group is "nearing a purchase" for just under $6 million, and while he confirmed "Harris appears to be the choice," he also pointed out "nothing is done, final, agreed to, or submitted to the league.
