After the Rockets reeled in a pair of free agents from New Orleans, the Pelicans are near a deal with an ex-Rocket.
Forward Terrence Jones, who wasn't tendered a qualifying offer by the Rockets last month, is near agreement with the Pelicans on a one-year deal, The Vertical reported.
Jones spent four seasons with the Rockets, averaging 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He missed large chunks of time with injuries during the past two seasons. Near the end of last season, he he fell out of the rotation and didn't play in the Rockets' first-round playoff loss to Golden State.
