Patrick Beverley to have exploratory knee scope

Reports regarding Patrick Beverley and his knee injury aren’t positive. The Rockets had been cautious with Beverley keeping him in Houston while the team traveled to China. Hopes were the injury wasn’t severe and it would get better with treatment and rest.

Initial assessments have been upgraded and now the shooting guard will have arthroscopic surgery to ascertain the status of the injury. The scope will determine if Beverley will require more intrusive surgery. Already set to miss around 20 games this procedure wouldn’t add any additional down time to Beverley’s recovery.

D'Antoni said he expects Beverley to miss 20 games.
