The Rockets practiced on Thursday not knowing whether they will face the 76ers on Friday with or without center Joel Embiid, who was eventually ruled out with left knee tendinitis.
That would seem to change how they would go about things with the uncertainty a challenge to preparations, especially for a team that rarely holds a game-day shootaround. But Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said the Rockets will do some preparations with either version of the Sixers in mind and that would be sufficient.
"Obviously, it will change their makeup. It won't change what we do," D'Antoni said.
