CLEVELAND - The Rockets vehemently argued on Friday that Chris Paul's late 3-pointer should have been ruled goaltending on Pistons center Andre Drummond. On Saturday, the NBA agreed.
The league's last two-minute report ruled "Drummond (DET) makes contact with the ball while it is still in the imaginary cylinder above the basket ring." Paul's shot would have given the Rockets a five-point lead with 1:24 left in regulation. The Rockets lost in overtime.
The play was the only call or no call of 45 in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter or in overtime deemed to be incorrect.
