In NBA annals, the 1984 NBA Draft has few peers.
It was the last draft before the lottery arrived and saw four Hall of Famers (Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and John Stockton) drafted, with all four making their presence known as legends of the game.
There also were other solid, but not as heralded, players who emerged from the draft such as Sam Perkins, Otis Thorpe, Kevin Willis and Jerome Kersey, who enjoyed long and productive careers in the NBA.
And, of course, there are the busts, none bigger than Sam Bowie, who was infamously taken second between Olajuwon and Jordan, with Portland's decision to take Bowie mocked ever since.
