It's incredible to consider how well-positioned the Rockets appear now in relation to the end of former general manager Daryl Morey's tenure. After the ill-fated Chris Paul/Russell Westbrook trade of 2019 in which the Rockets sent two future picks and two pick swaps to Oklahoma City, it seemed like the franchise had dug itself into a hole from which it might not ever be able to pull itself out.
