Looking at Rockets' trade opportunities, team-building thoughts

Rockets general manager Rafael Stone said last week that he expects the team to be opportunistic in trades this summer and the next few summers, stating that he believes the team is well-positioned for the future with its war chest of assets.

It's incredible to consider how well-positioned the Rockets appear now in relation to the end of former general manager Daryl Morey's tenure. After the ill-fated Chris Paul/Russell Westbrook trade of 2019 in which the Rockets sent two future picks and two pick swaps to Oklahoma City, it seemed like the franchise had dug itself into a hole from which it might not ever be able to pull itself out.
