The festivities of All-Star Weekend provided a nice respite for the Houston Rockets amid a third straight season at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. However, as is a theme this season, Houston couldn't come through on the floor during events on both Friday and Saturday night.
Three Rockets across a pair of teams failed to win the Rising Stars event to kick off the festivities in Salt Lake City on Friday night, and Jabari Smith Jr. and the team of rookies struggled mightily in the shooting portion of the NBA's annual skills challenge.
