The Kings went into Saturday's game playing at the second-fastest pace in the NBA, an enormous change from last season, when they ranked last. The transformation was especially striking to Rockets forward James Ennis III who played for Kings coach Dave Joerger when Joerger was with the famously slow-paced Grizzlies.
"It's different," Ennis said. "I had coach Joerger in Memphis with grit 'n grind. The pace now is a lot different. This is what the league is coming to so he is doing the right thing, letting guys go.
"The pace on their team is phenomenal. In Memphis it was slow, I was running and it would slow down no matter what I did.
