The Rockets have turned from pushover to punchy competitor in March, quietly winning four of their last seven after Wednesday's 114-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. And while Jabari Smith Jr.'s recent progression has (rightly) stolen many of the headlines, the progression of one of Houston's young guards shouldn't go unnoticed.
Kevin Porter Jr. is in the midst of his own quite impressive stretch after missing 20 games across much of January and all of February due to a toe injury. Porter entered Wednesday night with a rather modest 13 points per game in his six post-injury contests, though the scoring totals don't paint a fair picture of his performance.
