Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant spent much of Wednesday night torching the Houston Rockets, scoring 37 points in a 119-111 victory. Durant used his postgame press conference to praise the state of Houston's rebuilding.
"I got mad respect for teams like this," Durant said at Toyota Center in Houston. "Struggling for a few years, draft young, get a coach that holds them accountable, holds them to a standard, and they start to take off. I can appreciate that.
"We were a young team when I was coming into the league like that."
Durant is familiar with the coach keeping Houston "accountable" and well within the Western Conference playoff field as the All-Star break approaches.
