Jimmer Fredette, former 10th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft has officially signed in China with the Shanghai Sharks, who are owned by former Houston Rockets star Yao Ming.
Fredette was a former unanimous National Player of the Year at BYU, and he also owns both the BYU all-time scoring record and the record for the Mountain West Conference. He was also named the Best Male College Athlete in the 2011 ESPY awards.
Following his highly decorated college career, Fredette was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks before being traded to the Sacramento Kings, where Jimmermania, the slightly older cousin of Linsanity, immediately took hold.
