We’re a little late on this one, as it happened over the weekend, but Houston Rockets superstar James Harden donated $1 million of his own money to help the victims of the Hurricane Harvey disaster.
The Beard and Houston mayor Sylvester Turner got together and announced the donation at a press conference in front a group of displaced residents at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Harden’s donation comes after Rockets owner Les Alexander led the way with a $10 million donation of his own, and several other Rockets and ex-Rockets, including Chris Paul, Clint Capela, and Steve Francis, have also stepped up to lend a helping hand.
