Green, the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NBA draft, recently addressed the prospect of a contract extension with the Rockets at the Jalen Green Youth Basketball Camp in Houston. Green said he "for sure" prefers to sign an extension with the Rockets before the 2024-25 season, which is currently the final year of his initial rookie deal. Green is happy with Houston's direction. Now with his second coach and a growing young core, perhaps the 22-year-old can become one of the franchise's marquee 21st century faces.
