Houston Rockets rookie Jabari Smith is in the midst of his best stretch as a professional, and on Thursday, he earned a notable achievement off the floor.
Smith, the No. 3 pick in the 2022 NBA draft, announced he has signed a shoe contract with Adidas—becoming one of 12 rookies to join the brand. Fellow lottery picks Bennedict Mathurin and Keegan Murray are also now Adidas athletes, while No. 1 pick Paolo Banchero and No. 2 pick Chet Holmgren signed with Jordan Brand and Nike, respectively.
"This is just the beginning," Smith tweeted Thursday.
