BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - The USA Basketball's men's Olympic team will conclude its pre-Olympics tour with a game in Houston in late July, federation chairman Jerry Colangelo said Wednesday.
No date has been set or opponent announced for the game, one of a series of exhibitions that includes stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay area after the team is selected following the NBA Finals.
Houston is the staging point for the U.S. Olympic Committee's team processing leading up to the Rio de Janeiro Games, so it was expected that the men's team would be one of several Olympic teams that will stage exhibitions or training camps in Houston before leaving for Brazil.
