Since Daryl Morey traded away Corey Brewer and K.J. McDaniels, the team has lacked a solid option at backup wing. Out of options, the Houston Rockets turned to the Memphis Grizzlies‘ D-League affiliate, the Iowa Energy. Morey signed Troy Williams, who went undrafted this summer out of Indiana University. Even if he survives the 10-day, he probably won’t get a lot of playing time in Houston, but a player in his situation is happy for even the littlest chance.
Williams is quite an athlete, notably winning the D-League dunk contest last month.
