The Houston Rockets were very busy at the trade deadline. Daryl Morey and company were orchestrating moves left and right to clear up some cap space and improve the team in the process.
The Rockets shipped off the trio of James Ennis, Brandon Knight, and Marquese Chriss. In return, they brought back Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin, both of whom they subsequently shipped off. Additionally, the team brought in Iman Shumpert, who the team kept to bolster their wing depth.
There were lots of rumors that swirled around during the deadline but ultimately, the team decided it wasn’t time to add excessively to the roster and that the best course of action was to duck under the luxury tax mark to avoid the repeater tax.
