On Wednesday, the Houston Rockets lost to the Denver Nuggets 105-95, snapping the team’s eight game win streak.
Denver’s defense limited Houston’s elite offense, as they often double teamed James Harden on pick-and-rolls and they succeeded at cutting off Russell Westbrook‘s driving lanes. Houston’s star back court did a good job at moving the ball, but the team’s role players just couldn’t make open shots.
The Rockets shot just 42.1 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from 3-point range. The Rockets also committed 20 turnovers while dishing out just 19 assists, which can’t happen on the road against an elite team like the Nuggets.
