Josh “J-Smoove” Smith has opted to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers over the Houston Rockets, despite the Rockets offering near $1 million more than what the Clippers gave him. Smith was a key contributor to the Rockets deep playoff run this season, and as the media never lets us forget, he is best friends with Rockets center Dwight Howard. Still, though, Smith has decided to go join the Clippers and leave his best friend at home.
When Smith initially joined the Rockets organization last December he was under the impression that he would be starting. As time came to pass, Smith later found out that he and the Rockets were at their best when Smith came off the bench.
