Prior to signing with the Rockets Michael Beasley began his season in China. During his stint in China Beasley played for the Shandong Golden Stars averaging 31.9 points, 13.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.3 blocks while shooting 37.1% from deep and 54.0% from the field.
Beasley played in just 20 regular season games for the Rockets but scored in double digits on 13 of those occasions. He had games where he scored more than 20 points and in more than half his twenty games grabbed 5 or more rebounds.
Though Beasley had many highlights in his short sting 3 specific games stood out:
March 19th versus the Hawks Beasley exploded for 30 points along with 9 rebounds:
On March 25th versus the Raptors Beasley notched 21 points, 5 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocks:
And on March 31st versus the Chicago Bulls he netted 20 points along with 11 boards and 2 assists:
The big question moving forward now that Ryan Anderson has been signed is where and how Mike D’Antoni will utilize Beasley.
