The Houston Rockets are 5-2 since their full-time commitment to the small-ball strategy and it’s proving to pay big dividends against their opponents out of the court. They’re shooting the basketball more prolifically behind-the-arc as well as forcing more turnovers against their opponent.
Quite frankly, that’s EXACTLY what they need to do to win games as they have to make up for the characteristics of what a center does in a typical basketball offensive/defensive set. Even with seven games into this commitment, the Houston Rockets do not have a full-time center in the lineup and it’s handled by the situation, to what Mike D’Antoni deems appropriate.
