The Houston Rockets had a lot of players entering free agency this offseason and we knew it would be difficult to retain them all. Unfortunately, the Rockets lost a good one.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania, Trevor Ariza agreed to a 1-year, $15 million deal with the Phoenix Suns.
This isn’t catastrophic for Houston, but it’s still a big loss. Ariza was the guy that always defended the opponents’ best perimeter player. He was also one of Houston’s most prolific 3-point shooters, nailing 170 triples last season. Also, it’s worth mentioning that Ariza won a championship with the Lakers in 2009.
