Hakeem Olajuwon didn't peak as an NBA player in 1993-94 by any statistical measure.

The Houston Rockets legend claimed his lone MVP award in the '93-94 campaign, securing the honor in a de-facto Triple Crown as he also claimed Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP. The '93-94 season wasn't Olajuwon's best by points per game (27.8 in '94-95), rebounds (14.0 in '89-90), blocks (4.6, '89-90) nor advanced metrics like win shares (15.8 in '92-93) and Player Efficiency Rating (27.3 in '92-93). But both Olajuwon, his former teammates and his coaches cite the Houston's first championship season as something of a turning point for the Hall of Fame center.
