Longtime Rockets executive Gersson Rosas will become the Minnesota Timberwolves' president of basketball operations, leaving the Rockets after 16 years in which he moved from a video coordinator to executive vice president of basketball operations.
Rosas had been a Mavericks general manager for three months in 2013 before returning to the Rockets. He also serves as a USA Basketball international player personnel scout. He had been a candidate for general manager positions with the Pelicans and 76ers in recent years and was also considered this month by the Washington Wizards who are looking to fill their general manager position.
