Eventful as last season was for Rockets guard/forward Gerald Green, on Wednesday, he will get a chance to do something he could not a year ago. He will be on a roster for the season opener, allowing him a greater chance to feel prepared than he could last season when he joined the Rockets Dec. 28, initially on a 10-day contract to fill in for injured regulars.
“For me, it made a big difference, instead of me coming in halfway through the season,” Green said. “Having to start out in training camp, really get to learn the offense and learn the schemes and learn what we’re really trying to do, instead of trying to learn it on the fly.
