According to sources, former Rockets assistant coach R.J. Adelman died Feb. 2 after being involved in a car accident last week in Houston.
An 80-year-old woman hit him with her minivan as he walking around downtown Houston and was killed hours later, according to a police report obtained by TMZ Sports.
Adelman served under his father’s coaching staff for during Adelman’s four years in Houston.
Along with his four years on the Rockets staff, Adelman worked for the Seattle SuperSonics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Sacramento Kings.
