Markelle Fultz is truly a pioneer.
The Philadelphia 76ers' No. 1 overall pick out of Washington sported shoes made out of basketballs at the 2017 NBA Draft at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, making his introduction to the NBA a groundbreaking moment in the history of footwear fashion.
The radical sneakers overshadowed a sleek gray jacket and pants ensemble, rounded out by an edible-looking bow tie. His set of sneakers stole the show, and perhaps it is this kind of ingenuity that prompted the 76ers to trade up to get him.
Taking the shoe game to a new level seemed to be the theme at this year's Draft.
