When Rockets guard Eric Gordon won the 3-point contest on Saturday, he heard from friends and teammates far from New Orleans, but there was one person whose reaction he enjoyed most.
"Everybody, from family members to teammates, just everybody," Gordon said of the messages he received. "They were happy for me. That was my first time being in it and it was fun to win it."
Gordon, however, most enjoyed the reaction of his father, Eric Gordon Sr. in New Orleans.
"The main thing was my dad," Gordon said. "He was there. He's the one that gave me this jump shot and introduced me to this game.
