According to Elisha Fieldstadt of NBCNews.com, those in attendance were advised to remain inside the building until the severe flooding subsided. While some opted to leave immediately after the Rockets' 128-115 victory, those who decided to stay were stuck for seven hours.
The Rockets' superstar center was among those who decided against taking the risk after hearing how poor the conditions were outside, per David Barron of the Houston Chronicle: "There's no need to try to push it.
