Rockets center Dwight Howard and his D12 Foundation hosted a blood drive on Wednesday at the Toyota Center prior to the Rockets last game of the regular season.
The drive honored Craig Sager - the longtime Turner sideline reporter who is battling acute myeloid leukemia at M.D. Anderson in Houston.
"I've been in the league 12 years and I met Craig my first year," Howard said. "He always has those crazy suits and the best attitude. He's a big part of the NBA family.
"But this is not just about Craig. It's about the millions of people who suffer from or have suffered cancer and about what I can do to help them.
