The Houston Rockets matching the Brooklyn Nets’ offer sheet for restricted free agent Donatas Motiejunas was the end of a long saga with the Lithuanian big man. Right?
Not so fast.
Motiejunas failed to show up to the team physical on Tuesday as reported by the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Feigen.
The Rockets matched a four-year, $37 million offer from the Nets for Motiejunas, but Houston now has the option of returning him to restricted free agent status — and restrict him from signing with the Nets for a year.
The move is put into clearly light after Motiejunas’ agent B.
