The Dallas Mavericks announced a multi-year partnership Friday that will be welcomed with open arms by fans in the Metroplex and the surrounding areas. Beginning in the 2024-25 season, local station KMPX (channel 29) will host Mavericks games in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for free over-the-air. Free Mavericks games will also be broadcast on local stations in Waco, Tyler, Midland-Odessa, Abilene and San Angelo, per a Mavericks' release.
Dallas announced Friday it will also host 15 or more games on WFAA, the local ABC affiliate. The Mavericks are now in partnership with TEGNA, the corporate owner of 64 local affiliates across 51 different markets.
