The University of Houston Cougars men's basketball team, A.K.A. Phi Slama Jama, is getting an ESPN 30 for 30. Finally.
Phi Slama Jama was the nickname of the Cougars in the early 1980s, when it played a big role in influencing modern basketball. The team has been rightly credited with making basketball more exciting.
Both Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler played for the team in college and will be featured.
The doc was directed by Houston native Chip Rives. He says he wants to show another perspective on the Cougars and their coach, Guy V.
