One of the biggest sports stars to come out of Houston is celebrating a birthday today.
Clyde Drexler turns 54 today. He actually wasn't born in Houston, as he entered the world in New Orleans, but ask anyone and they'll tell you Drexler belongs to the Bayou City.
The man known as "The Glide" starred at Sterling High School before taking his talents to UH and teaming with Hakeem (then Akeem) Olajuwon as part of the Cougars' iconic Phi Slama Jama squads.
Drexler then was drafted 14th overall by Portland in 1984, and that proved to be a steal for the Trail Blazers.
