Clyde Drexler, a former Houston Rocket and member of the University of Houston's storied Phi Slama Jama fraternity, will coach in a new 3-on-3 professional basketball league along with retired basketball players Rick Barry and Rick Mahorn.
The signings were announced today by the BIG3, a 3-on-3 league created by rapper/actor Ice Cube that will begin play on June 24 with former NBA players comprising eight teams.
Drexler, Barry and Mahorn join Gary Payton, George Gervin and Allen Iverson as coaches in the league. The coaches will be drafted by player captains prior to the inaugural season, and games will be played every Saturday.
