According to a report by KHOU on Thursday, a charge of retaliation has been dropped against former Rockets guard Steve Francis.
The charge is connected to a November arrest in Houston that occurred after Francis, 39, was stopped for speeding by a Precinct 5 deputy.
At the time, Francis was was charged with DWI, possession of marijuana and retaliation.
Francis reportedly was traveling 88 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. The deputy smelled alcohol and reported that Francis was belligerent. Three more deputies were called to the scene and tried to get Francis to park his vehicle in a parking lot.
