Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons visited with his former teammates, trading hugs with Dwight Howard, firing a pass at Pat Beverley, but could not play against them.
Parsons is out after surgery March 25 to repair torn cartilage in his right knee. Though the injury was not as great as last season's issues with the same knee, that required microfracture surgery and eight to 10 months of rehabilitation, the timing cost him a chance to play in the playoff race and the post-season as he heads into free agency.
"Not being able to play now, being able to play in the playoffs hurts," Parsons said.
