An injury to James Harden could offer more minutes to a bench player, but that appears to be the only circumstance in which guard Brandon Knight might have an opportunity to play anytime soon.
Knight looked tentative in six games coming back from a knee injury that had sidelined him all of last season. Coach Mike D'Antoni had been easing Knight into a system that is new to him, but the acquisition of guard Austin Rivers kept Knight from entering the Christmas game.
"He's in a tough spot," D'Antoni said. "He hasn't played in a year and a half.
