The Houston Rockets were on its way to a third consecutive loss to end Summer League.
While these wins and losses don’t count, it sure doesn’t feel good to lose at any level.
The Rockets could have easily mailed it in down seven with 1:11 to go in the game.
But quit they did not.
Rookie Josh Christopher and second-year pro Armoni Brooks led a ferocious 12-2 run at the end of the game to win the Summer League finale 95-90.
Christopher, who logged the most minutes for the team in Vegas, had his best game of the week shooting 8-14 from the field to score 20 points in the game, including six in that final 1:11 that tipped the scales in the team’s favor.
