It’s not like the Houston Rockets haven’t been at this a while. Countless candidates have taken interviews with General Manager Daryl Morey and Owner Leslie Alexander. The problem is the same candidates are gaining employment so fast it begs the question why the Rockets are taking so long to determine their choice.
Could it be they are unsure of exactly what they want? Mike D’Antoni was looking like the lead candidate, but that news also came on the heels Jeff Van Gundy was not only the preference, but the inevitable choice.
During the interview process the Sacramento Kings scooped up defensive specialist Dave Joeger, the Knicks scooped up Jeff Hornacek (as FanSided Daily Knicks enthused about here) and the Magic grabbed what would have been an awesome hire for Houston in Frank Vogel.
